Please read these Terms carefully before using UniCash or UniPay. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
UniCash and UniPay are operated by Viera Digital Platforms Pty Ltd (ACN 698 942 817), a company incorporated in Australia. In these Terms, "UniCash", "UniPay", "we", "us", and "our" refer collectively to the UniCash and UniPay services.
UniCash is a closed-loop digital credit platform. UNC is a digital credit used within the UniCash platform — it is not fiat currency, e-money, or stored value. UniCash allows users to purchase UNC digital credits, hold a digital balance, and transfer UNC within the UniCash ecosystem.
UniPay is our merchant acceptance product, enabling businesses to accept UniCash payments, generate payment invoices, and receive bank payouts on demand. These Terms apply to both UniCash consumer accounts and UniPay merchant accounts.
To use UniCash or UniPay you must:
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your UniCash or UniPay account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your PIN and login credentials and must not share them with anyone.
You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts where we have reasonable grounds to believe your account has been compromised or is being used for fraudulent or illegal purposes.
To comply with our internal risk‑management and fraud‑prevention requirements, all UniCash users must complete a one-time full identity verification before accessing financial features. This verification is required once and is not repeated.
We may require additional information at any time. Failure to provide requested information may result in account restrictions.
UniPay merchants are subject to separate identity verification requirements applicable to their merchant account.
You may purchase UNC via approved payment methods including bank transfer. The applicable rate will be shown before you confirm any transaction.
Amounts you pay to purchase UNC are reflected as a digital credit balance within the UniCash platform and are not deposits under Australian banking law. UniCash is not a bank and your balance is not covered by the Financial Claims Scheme.
UniCash allows users to transfer UNC to any other UniCash user. Transfers are confirmed and irreversible once completed. You are solely responsible for ensuring you send to the correct @handle or address. We cannot reverse, cancel, or recover UNC transferred to an incorrect recipient.
UniPay allows registered merchants to accept UniCash payments from customers via payment invoices, QR codes, and NFC terminals. Merchants may receive payouts to a nominated bank account. Payout processing times and applicable fees are displayed in the UniPay merchant portal.
Merchants are responsible for ensuring their use of UniPay complies with all applicable laws, including consumer protection and tax obligations. We reserve the right to suspend merchant accounts where we have reasonable grounds to suspect misuse, fraudulent activity, or breach of these Terms.
UniCash does not offer direct UNC-to-bank transfers for users. Users seeking to return unspent UNC may request a refund through the UniPay merchant refund process. Refunds are initiated by UniPay merchants and credited to the user's nominated bank account.
Current fees for UniCash and UniPay are displayed in the respective app or portal before you confirm any transaction. Internal transfers between UniCash users and payments to UniPay merchants are fee free. We reserve the right to introduce or change fees with 14 days' notice to existing users via email or in-app notification.
You must not use UniCash or UniPay for:
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension, funds being frozen, and reporting to relevant authorities where required by applicable law.
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to UniCash or UniPay. The Service may be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss arising from unavailability of the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
You may close your UniCash or UniPay account at any time by contacting [email protected]. Any remaining UniCash balance may be used within the UniCash ecosystem or refunded via a UniPay merchant.
We may close your account with 30 days' notice, or immediately if required by law or if you have violated these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notification with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
